SMOKE Training

Hands-on SMOKE training is offered at the CMAS Center four times a year. The 2 1/2 day training classes are held at the Center for Environmental Modeling for Policy Development in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The SMOKE training includes lecture and laboratory exercises. The lecture sessions teach students the key concepts involved in emissions processing, emissions modeling terminology, and the features of SMOKE. The laboratory exercises provide hands-on experience with configuring, running, and troubleshooting SMOKE.

The SMOKE training agenda and the schedule for upcoming classes are posted on the CMAS Training web page.

The CEMPD training lab consists of IBM ThinkPad laptops running Fedora. As a mobile training facility we are able to offer on-site SMOKE training anywhere in the world. Contact the CMAS Support and Training Coordinator to discuss pricing and scheduling for on-site SMOKE classes.
